I wanted to write a quick review of photo gallery software that need only one file in the image folder. It means they’re extremely easy to install, maintain and move to other places. However I was only able to find two of those so I added a small list of non-database-galleries for you to check.
Both of these are written in PHP and create thumbnails automatically in a sub-folder.

Simple galleries
As it became clear, it isn’t very easy to find single file photo galleries. So to help you forward, here’s a list of some simple gallery software that doesn’t require databases.
- phpgraphy
- Simple PHP Gallery
- Pagemap-Imagewall
- Tiny Web Gallery
- ZPhotosExpress
- MicroPhotoGallery
- Max’s Slideshow
- more..
My choice
I think I’ll be using uAlbum or SFPG the most. For something a bit more advanced I might go for PHPGraphy. Any recommendations?
