Took this photo some weeks ago. Anyone able to explain what happened – what causes the green line to appear? It comes directly from where the sun was. Is it the optics or the chip? I have taken 54558 shots on my D70 (bought wow – 5 years ago!!) so it’s already over it’s average shutter lifetime of 50 000 shots. I wouldn’t be too much surprised if some weirdness would start appearing soon but this was a single shot where I saw this so I think there must be some kind of explanation available..

Maybe there something flying across the lens simultaneosly. Just a quess. :)
Russia is a land of impossibilities. Therefore I doubt you can get explanation for this.
