It was bit of a fight to get from home to the hotel. Train-bus-delayed flight-train-bus-bus. It took around 10 hours but in the end all eight of us were happily in the hotel, sleeping.
Because of all this delay we slept in. In the afternoon we had a meeting at All Souls, with the person being responsible for their around 70 small groups, and with the manager of Christianity Explored, that started inside All Souls but grew so big that it’s now its own charity.
In the night we went to iClub that’s a club for international students. Music, food, hanging around. Short 5min talk to challenge and start the discussion
LESSONS LEARNED
It’s a great idea to have a course for everyone in the church to get the basics straight. This makes sure that everyone has a clue what the sermons talk about, who Jesus was, why did he die and so one. This also makes it easier to teach as you know most of the people know the basic stuff. There are too many both christians and non-christians in our churches who don’t have a clue.
