I’ve been using Joomla earlier but it’s a pain. I think that these blog and CMS tools should be able to do autoupdate or something similar.. I’m running X old versions of Joomla that should be updated but it’s not a nice thing to do (especially if you run some four years old alpha version that doesn’t upgrade..). But anyway, now it’s my turn to try WordPress.
I’d like to have some good photo viewer, my plan is to post photos here as well at some stage. No, not in the planet, but in my blog.
Tag cloud, I think that’s what I already have. Is there an extended version that would analyze the words used like Wordle does?
How do I add a OpenID comments? (hmm.. that’d be some plugin, I guess.. have to check..)
Is there a way to autopost things not using the WP gui? I’d like to set a script that would autorelease content for example once in a month or so. Is there any other ways to do this but add the content directly in the database?
Anything else you recommend?
And if you know how to get rid of the bar in the top with the ‘Subscribe to feed’ and ‘Home’ things, let me know.. I’m using the ‘Tarski’ theme.

The simplest posting without the gui method is sending a mail. It’s already integrated in wordpress, with no plugin needed.
If you meant auto-releasing posts, you can tell wordpress when to publish every post you’ve written, from the same page you write the post in.
Recommended plugin ? WP Subscription manager. It allows people to ask of being notified by mail of any new comments on the post they’re replying to. It helps people to follow discussions and you to gather comments around your posts.

I am glad to see any distro growing, but sick of the “Hello Planet Ubuntu!” posts that have no other substance.
I understand wanting to test it, but it’s possible to test it and post something useful with substance at the same time.

I found this: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/subscribe-to-comments/ but it doesn’t seem to work very well on 2.6, according to the discussion in here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/193601
TheGZeus: so did I do right or wrong? I suppose I have some other stuff here as well: asking for the WP tips. Anyway, cool to be around. I’ll try to get the comment subscription work soon, maybe a captcha as well..
